Es fällt mir schwer, mich in den Vordergrund zu drängen und meine Meinung zu äußern. In meiner Jugend war es mir leichter gefallen, und viele Jahre lang habe ich in verschiedenen Kontexten eine führende Rolle übernommen. Dabei ging es mir immer mehr um die Sache selbst als um meine eigenen Wünsche und Bedürfnisse. Ich habe mich stets als Teil eines größeren Ganzen gesehen und glaubte, dass die Verbesserung der Welt auch mein eigenes Leben verbessern würde. Ich war und bin ein Idealist.
Mein Leben hat mich viele Lektionen gelehrt, insbesondere dass es kein Licht ohne Schatten und keine einfachen Wahrheiten gibt. Außerdem habe ich gelernt, dass die Perspektive des Betrachters dasselbe Objekt unterschiedlich erscheinen lassen kann.
In den letzten Jahren habe ich die Fotografie als Ausdrucksmittel für mich entdeckt. Sie ermöglicht es mir, meine Sichtweise auf Menschen, Natur und Dinge zu teilen. Die einzigartige Eigenschaft der Fotografie liegt darin, dass jeder Betrachter das Gesehene auf seine eigene Weise interpretiert. Mein Ziel ist es, Bilder zu schaffen, die den Betrachter berühren und die Kraft haben, unsere Realität zum Positiven zu verändern.
Nachdem ich die ersten Schritte in der Fotografie gemacht und ein grundlegendes Verständnis für die Technik entwickelt habe, begann ich, meine Ideen visuell zu verwirklichen. Dieses Jahr habe ich die Trilogie „KONTROLLE, ILLUSION, AUTONOMIE – Drei Spiegel der Selbstinszenierung“ fotografiert. Da mir dieses Projekt so viel Freude bereitet hat, suchte ich bald nach einem neuen Thema.
Ich wollte mich weiterhin auf die Portraitfotografie konzentrieren und ließ mich von der aktuellen politischen Lage zu folgenden Leitideen inspirieren:
Viele Menschen glauben, von den Mächtigen und ihren Marionetten um ihre Gegenwart und Zukunft betrogen zu werden, fühlen sich aber hilflos. Daher wollte ich aufzeigen, dass es schon immer Menschen gegeben hat, die sich gegen das Establishment und die herrschenden Umstände aufgelehnt und mindestens dazu beigetragen haben, diese zu verbessern.
Die Geschichte wurde stets von Siegern und Mächtigen geschrieben, wie die Entwicklung in den Vereinigten Staaten, China und der russischen Föderation zeigt. Neben der vorherrschenden Interpretation gibt es jedoch viele weitere. Neben den offiziellen Helden, die den Reichtum weniger geschaffen, verteidigt und verbessert haben, gibt es auch jene, die den Reichtum aller im Sinn hatten. Diese Helden möchte ich in Erinnerung rufen.
Kurz gesagt, die Mächtigen versuchen, die Zukunft und die Geschichte umzuschreiben, indem sie uns isolieren und uns glauben machen wollen, dass es keine Alternativen zu ihren Zukunftsplänen gibt. In diesem Zusammenhang ist Musks Angriff auf die Wikipedia zu verstehen. Er versucht, diese Enzyklopädie des Wissens, die nach öffentlich einsehbaren Regeln von einer Gemeinschaft unabhängiger Redakteure zusammengestellt wird, durch seine nach seinen Vorgaben und denen seines Unternehmens zusammengestellte Alternative zu ersetzen.
Nachdem ich mich mit meiner Idee eine Weile auseinandergesetzt hatte, kam ich an den Punkt, an dem ich mich fragte, wie weit meine Vorgaben reichen sollten und wie detailliert ich mein Konzept ausarbeiten müsste. Bei meinen bisherigen Shootings habe ich festgestellt, dass sich zwischen Model und Fotograf oft eine eigene Dynamik entwickelt, die zu unerwarteten Ergebnissen führt.
Ich entschied, das Projekt so offen wie möglich zu gestalten und verfasste folgendes Briefing, das ich auf unterschiedlichen Kanälen veröffentlichte. Hier ein Auszug:
Ziel des Projekts ist es, die Idee des Anarchismus und seine prägenden Vertreter*innen zurück ins öffentliche Bewusstsein zu holen – und ihr Ansehen zu bewahren. Das Set besteht aus einem Tisch mit Stuhl, einem Porträt im goldenen Rahmen und einer schwarzen Fahne.
Das Projekt ist offen gedacht: Idealerweise bringst Du Dich mit Deiner Persönlichkeit ein – über Pose, Kleidung und eigene Requisiten (z. B. Bücher, Symbole, Textfragmente oder Gegenstände aus Deinem Alltag). Wir bauen eine sichtbare Brücke zur/zum Betrachter*in – von Dir zum Porträt: Dein Blick, Deine Geste oder ein Requisit verbindet Dich mit der Person im Rahmen und lädt das Publikum ein, dieser Linie zu folgen.
AIDA‑Prinzip: Aufmerksamkeit wecken, Interesse vertiefen, Begehren auslösen, zur Handlung führen. Gemeinsam – Du als Model mit Deiner Kreativität und ich als Fotograf durch Komposition und Licht – schaffen wir ein Bild, das den Blick fesselt, Neugier auf das Porträt und die Idee des Anarchismus weckt und idealerweise den Wunsch auslöst, selbst Teil des Projekts zu werden (z. B. mit einem eigenen Foto) und das Ergebnis zu teilen.

Die Resonanz hat mich überrascht, sowohl quantitativ als auch qualitativ. Die ersten Aufnahmen sind im Kasten und die nächsten Shootings sind für Januar und Februar geplant.
Portraits of Freedom, the Project.
I find it difficult to put myself forward and express my opinion. It was easier for me when I was younger, and for many years I took on a leading role in various contexts. I was always more concerned with the cause itself than with my own wishes and needs. I always saw myself as part of a larger whole and believed that improving the world would also improve my own life. I was and still am an idealist.
Life has taught me many lessons, especially that there is no light without shadow and no simple truths. I have also learned that the viewer’s perspective can make the same object appear different.
In recent years, I have discovered photography as a means of expression. It allows me to share my view of people, nature, and things. The unique feature of photography is that each viewer interprets what they see in their own way. My goal is to create images that touch the viewer and have the power to change our reality for the better.
After taking my first steps in photography and developing a basic understanding of the technique, I began to realize my ideas visually. This year, I photographed the trilogy “CONTROL, ILLUSION, AUTONOMY – Three Mirrors of Self-Presentation”. Since I enjoyed this project so much, I soon started looking for a new theme.
I wanted to continue focusing on portrait photography and was inspired by the current political situation to develop the following guiding principles:
Many people believe that they are being cheated out of their present and future by those in power and their puppets, but feel helpless. Therefore, I wanted to show that there have always been people who rebelled against the establishment and the prevailing circumstances and at least contributed to improving them.
History has always been written by the victors and the powerful, as developments in the United States, China, and the Russian Federation show. However, there are many other interpretations besides the prevailing one. In addition to the official heroes who created, defended, and improved the wealth of the few, there are also those who had the wealth of all in mind. I would like to commemorate these heroes.
In short, the powerful are trying to rewrite the future and history by isolating us and making us believe that there are no alternatives to their plans for the future. Musk’s attack on Wikipedia should be understood in this context. He is trying to replace this encyclopedia of knowledge, which is compiled according to publicly available rules by a community of independent editors, with his own alternative, compiled according to his specifications and those of his company.
After thinking about my idea for a while, I reached a point where I asked myself how far my specifications should go and how detailed I would need to be in developing my concept. In my previous shoots, I have found that a unique dynamic often develops between the model and the photographer, leading to unexpected results.
I decided to make the project as open as possible and wrote the following briefing, which I published on various channels. Here is an excerpt:
The aim of the project is to bring the idea of anarchism and its influential representatives back into the public consciousness—and to preserve their reputation. The set consists of a table with a chair, a portrait in a golden frame, and a black flag.
The project is open-ended: Ideally, you will contribute your personality—through your pose, clothing, and your own props (e.g., books, symbols, text fragments, or objects from your everyday life). We build a visible bridge to the viewer—from you to the portrait: your gaze, your gesture, or a prop connects you to the person in the frame and invites the audience to follow this line.
AIDA principle: attract attention, deepen interest, trigger desire, lead to action. Together—you as the model with your creativity and me as the photographer through composition and light—we create an image that captivates the eye, arouses curiosity about the portrait and the idea of anarchism, and ideally triggers the desire to become part of the project yourself (e.g., with your own photo) and share the result.
